Eye care and you: The effects of stress and poor mental health on our eyes

London Vision is hosting a series of webinars around eye health, eye care and sight loss advice, information and tips. This is part of London Vision’s Community Engagement Programme.

If you are blind, partially sighted, at risk of sight loss or want to know more about maintaining eye health, come to these webinars.

The fifth webinar will focus on understanding what is mental health, who can be affected by mental health problems and learning about signs and symptoms of poor mental health. Is there a link between vision impairment and mental health issues? We will also explore different ways to manage and share tips on relaxation and coping mechanisms for stress management.

You may have healthy eyes and good vision, but it is still important to have your eyes checked regularly. In this session we will learn more about how to keep our mind and body relaxed for keeping healthy eyes and vision. A taster session on Mindfulness will be delivered, so you can take away some useful resources to practice at your convenience.

Presented by: Dr Beverley Duguid – Insight Mind
