Volunteering for London Vision will give you an opportunity to experience London in an entirely different way. Not only will you make a difference by helping to increase the confidence, skills and mobility of people with sight loss, you will also help decrease levels of social isolation and loneliness which can often lead to problems with mental health. Volunteering also offers a range of benefits to you as a volunteer; it improves well-being, reduces stress, increases self-confidence, looks great on your CV and offers opportunities to meet new people and make a real difference!
Volunteers for London Vision can support blind and partially sighted people in a variety of ways with varying levels of commitment to fit your lifestyle. From information sharing, employment skills, guiding and social and leisure activities, we are looking for volunteers to support London Vision in all 32 boroughs. Although the majority of our activities take place in daytime so require daytime availability, we are growing our evening and weekend volunteering opportunities too.
We have opportunities for corporate volunteers to support our services either as an ongoing commitment or a one-off activity. Check out some of our volunteer stories here. We have a number of ongoing volunteering opportunities, which you can have a look at below.
